TEDDY BEAR SHOP LAUNCH LOCKDOWN TV SHOW

TEDDY BEAR SHOP LAUNCH LOCKDOWN TV SHOW

Teddy Station TV on Sea Southend

Babs & Steve Kohler have launched their own TV channel using Facebook and YouTube, to talk all things teddy bears as their High Street shop is closed again for lockdown.

The couple, who live in Southend on Sea, are using lockdown to talk teddies to collectors and enthusiasts globally and also to interview and showcase the collections of some of their customers.

Streamed live from their shop Teddy Station in The Victoria Shopping Centre, Southend on Sea, where they’ve been unboxing teddies on delivery days, making teddy movies, and also running interactive online teddy competitions, where viewers could win vouchers for instore and online purchases.

Steve said: “Lockdown has forced us as business owners of a retail shop to get with the online programme and it’s been really fun”. We know that there are collectors of bears all over the world and since we’ve been running our little TV station we cannot believe the interest we’re getting.

We have had several guests on the new show including William Morris one of the owners of the worldwide company Charlie Bears giving us words of support our small businesses need at the moment.

Steve and Babs have been running their shop for the last 12 years. Prior to that they sold gadgets until they saw a bear-making machine at a trade show in Birmingham . The couple’s shop has been among the top ten suppliers of collectible bears in the UK for the last 10 years.
